Welcome to Callala Marina Jervis Bay home-page

Welcome to Callala on Jervis Bay NSW.

This site provides information about Callala district and a proposed Marina at Callala in Jervis Bay.

We aim to provide you with useful information about beautiful Callala area on the shores of Jervis Bay, about Callala lifestyle, about boating (of course) and other facilities in this natural wonderland, the Jervis Bay Marine Park  - whether you sail or kayak / canoe or just like mucking around in boats,

This site is a labour of love (of the bay) and public service. It is very much a living thing, or “under construction” (starting July 2012) so there will constantly be new material added.

Feel free to follow the “Guided Tour” or browse around.  There will be numerous links to related sites of interest, downloads of resources and research on marine & shoreline dynamics, local and from around the world.

If you have comments or questions, please use the “contact” button or send your own e-mail.  [To come!]

Thanks for visiting. We look forward to keeping you informed of news about local activities and developments, and most importantly about living in the people’s paradise of Callala and Jervis Bay.

WELCOME to Callala Bay, Callala Beach, and Myola beside Jervis Bay Marine Park waters and surrounded by National Parks & Forests.

It’s pretty close to paradise. Wildlife abounds. The bay boasts resident pods of dolphins, seals and penguins, whales visiting on their way North and South from Autumn to Spring, shells, a huge range of fish, sea-dragons, reef and inter-tidal marine life. Sea eagles soar on patrol, gannets, pelicans, shore birds, honey-eaters and parrots are constantly on the move.  It’s a bird-watcher’s delight.

The bay waters offer a great range of opportunities for sailing - yachts, skiffs, cat’s and dinghies -  for kayaking or canoeing, for surfing and windsurfing, or for motor-boating. As well as literally kilometers of uncrowded beaches, Callala has a pier, boat-ramp and many moorings.

It’s the natural place to be.  It’s definitely NOT the Gold Coast, NOT central Sydney, NOT a suburban sprawl, but a lively and beautiful village set ... in paradise!

Come on in and discover more.

Ahhhh... like gentle waves on our shore.

Swimming, sailing snorkelling, diving, fishing, canoe and kayak paddling, wind-surfing, kite-surfing, or board surfing, rambling, beach-combing, walking, caravan parking, cycling on our quiet roads, on forest trails (mapped) and on the firm beaches, wave watching, dolphin and whale watching, corals and subtropical fish, weedy sea-dragons and sea horses, small rays or eagle rays, little sharks, sea eagles, pelicans, and much more, kilometres of empty beaches, unspoiled open bays, and quiet bush paths... Did we mention Paradise? Eden? Utopia? Dream-time?
Let’s keep it unspoilt !!

Callala Dreaming !!
